Showcase Mall Buyout Completed

A group of New Yorkers have completed their nearly $370 million buyout of the Showcase Mall on the Las Vegas strip, with the final portion of the deal closing earlier this month.

Vegas Inc. reports that Jordache jeans founders, the Nakash family, and real estate investor Eli Gindi recently paid $82.85 million for the final portion of Showcase, which included the iconic Coke bottle and M&M's on its facade. The sale closed Dec. 2.

With the closing, Showcase's original developer Barry Fieldman no longer owns the property. He first invested in the site in the early 1990s.
