Utah Holds Earthquake Drill Tomorrow

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah will hold its annual statewide earthquake drill tomorrow to prepare residents for a possible major quake.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that 846,000 people have registered to take part across the state. That's about 20,000 more than last year.

The Great Utah Shake Out is designed to minimize the harm of a major quake if Wasatch Fault ruptures.
