The third medallion honoring the state's sesquicentennial is set for mint. Yesterday, the Nevada 150 Commission announced the design for the third medallion. As chosen by 5,000 state students, the third medallion will feature the image of the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, the Reno Arch and "Wendover Will."
This is the third of four medallions specially made for the state's 150th birthday. The losing images included Lake Tahoe, bighorn sheep and the Hoover Dam. Sale of the medallion begins May 27th. They will be available in silver and copper.
