Las Vegas Mother Jailed For Shooting Son

The mother of the 11-year old boy who is clinging to life with a gunshot wound to the head is in jail. Tuesday, authorities arrested Shavon Aguilar, also known as Shavon Carillo, and charged her with attempted murder and child abuse. Police still have not released much information on the case.

The boy remains in critical condition at the pediatric intensive care unit at University Medical Center. Hospital officials say he is not expected to survive.
