Betting On Elections

In Las Vegas it is possible to bet on ALMOST anything. In 2013, State Senator Tick Segerblom tried to push a bill that would allow Nevadans to bet on elections. The bill died in the Assembly, but he’s bringing it back to a legislative committee next week.

Companies outside of the U.S. do take wagers on elections. In the last presidential election 20 million pounds was wagered in England. Odds makers already have Hillary Clinton at 11-to-8 to win and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie at 9-to-1.
