New Stadium In Las Vegas?

Another promise of a professional sports team and stadium is being made in Las Vegas.

Yesterday, Findlay Sports & Entertainment and the Cordish Companies announced plans to build a 24,000 seat stadium at Symphony Park designed specifically for a Major League Soccer team. Cordish has an agreement with the city to build a stadium, but that agreement ends May 21st. Major League Soccer is expanding to 24 teams and has already given New York, Miami, Orlando and Atlanta a franchise. That leaves Austin, Texas, Minneapolis, Sacramento, San Francisco and San Diego as well as Las Vegas to fight for the final team. The cost of a stadium and winning a franchise could be $300 million.
