The Washoe County School Board discussed COVID-19’s impact on financial planning for the district at its meeting Tuesday.
Budget Director Mike Schroeder said to reduce the fallout, financial review committee members are assessing positions eligible for a hiring freeze. Schroeder said non-personnel line items are also getting a second look.
The school district expects to release a final budget for Fiscal Year 2021 after a special session of the Nevada Legislature.
