BLM Offers Reward For Information On Wild Burro Killings

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is offering up to $10,000 to anyone who can help catch the person or persons responsible for killing 42 wild burros in California.

The killings have taken place in the Mojave Desert over the past three months, between Interstate 15 and the ghost town of Halloran, California.

Wild burros are protected under federal law. They are also an iconic symbol of the American Southwest, dating to their days as pack animals for prospectors and others.
