Dept. of Interior Says Two Native American Tribes Can Build Casino Opposed By MGM

The Department of Interior decided two native American tribes can proceed in developing a Connecticut casino that MGM Resorts strongly opposed.

According to Politico, the department will allow the tribes to proceed with the project that will be located 12 miles away from an MGM casino in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The dispute over the casino delayed the project over a year and led to an ongoing investigation of former interior secretary Ryan Zinke.

A grand jury is looking into whether or not Zinke lied to federal investigators over the matter.
