Ammon Bundy Breaks With President Trump Over Migrant Caravan

Nevada rancher and activist Ammon Bundy has broken with President Donald Trump over his hard-line policies and rhetoric against a migrant caravan from Central America.

Bundy said in a video posted to Facebook that the characterization that the caravan is made up of all criminals is incorrect.

The break with Trump was notable in part because the president pardoned a pair of Oregon ranchers who were the inspiration behind Bundy’s standoff with the government at a wildlife refuge in 2016.

Bundy said the rhetoric toward the caravan from the president and his supporters was “fear-based, and frankly, based on selfishness.”
