The German composer Richard Strauss loved nature. He especially loved the mountains. In An Alpine Symphony, which is actually more of a tone poem, he will take you to the top of one and then back down. Along the way: a brook, a forest, a waterfall, a meadow, a glacier. Taras Krysa will conduct.
