UNLV Panel Sept. 23: We Need to Talk About Health Equity Initiatives
The panel series, “We Need To Talk: Conversations on Racism for a More Resilient Las Vegas,” will host an in-person and livestreamed discussion at 2:30 p.m. on Tues., Sept. 23. The series is sponsored by the UNLV Libraries and the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs. The next discussion is titled “We Need to Talk About Health Equity Initiatives.”
Health equity initiatives aim to reduce the persistent gaps in health outcomes experienced by communities of color, who often face higher rates of chronic illness and limited access to care. This discussion will highlight efforts at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV and Roseman University of Health Sciences to address these disparities and advance more equitable healthcare.
