Receptions at UNLV art exhibitions
Provocations kicks off the Donna Beam Gallery’s 2025–26 season with a diverse array of contemporary art, inviting, they say, a daring reassessment of artistic conventions.
Three exhibitions at the Barrick Museum of Art opened in June and run through December 20. Living Here presents the East and Southeast Asian American diaspora through the experiences of its artists. Perception will tease your expectations with static paintings that seem to move, diagrams that teach nothing, and impossibly flattened models of three-dimensional space. And, Brian Martinez’s shaped painting Floreo brings different eras of Mexican art history together into a contemporary whole.
