Otherworldly Voices: Alash performs Tuvan music
Tuvan music is one of a kind. Also known as throat singing, its performers are able to sing multiple pitches at the same time. It originated on the plains of Tuva, where the members of Alash come from, and Mongolia.
After they perform there will be a Q&A facilitated by their producer Sean Quirk, who was a Fulbright scholar who thanks to 20 years of living in Tuva is the world's leading expert on Tuvan music. Seating is first-come, first-served. For more information, call 702-507-3964.
