New work for voice and piano quintet
The Doctor of Musical Arts recital by tenor LaVell Thompson, Jr. has the theme a lover's journey, he says. The main work is one he wrote for voice and piano quintet exploring in seven songs the types of partner love one can experience. There will also be four Spanish songs by Manuel Ponce and some musical theatre selections.
