The iconic San Antonio-based music festival brings its highly anticipated competitions to UNLV, where the nation’s top school- based mariachi groups and vocalists will battle for top awards and the opportunity to open for Mexico City’s greatest—Jonathan Palomar.
From brilliant musicianship to powerful, heartfelt vocals, each performance will highlight the beauty, emotion, and vibrant spirit of the mariachi music tradition. The competition runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The concert at 7:30 will feature winners and other competitors and Senor Palomar.
