This free exhibition explores the deep connections Southern Nevada-based women artists have with the region's landscape and the way their creative practices reflect and influence it. Featuring highly-regarded and important culture creators including artists, Jennifer Kleven, xochil xitlalli, Natalie Delgado, Paula Jacoby-Garrett, Katie Hoffman, Krystal Ramiriez, Alina Lindquist, Fawn Douglas, Sierra Slentz, Emily Budd, Vanessa Maciel Napoles, Sapira Cheuk, JK Russ, Audrey Barcio and Lori McCoy, the exhibit highlights how lived experiences shape artistic expression. These artworks provide new lenses through which to look at the natural landscapes of Southern Nevada, formed by the Mojave Desert and Great Basin and understand it more deeply.

This exhibition is curated by Hikmet Sidney Loe, in collaboration with the City of Henderson Public Art Program. Hikmet Sidney Loe is an educator, author, and curator whose work examines the changeable nature of the earth and addresses the perceptual and cultural constructs of the land. She teaches art history at UNLV.
