Left of Center Gallery "I Need Space to Roam" opens, reception
"I Need Space to Roam" challenges the commercialization of artwork, bringing together femme, women, and gender nonconforming artists from the local art scene presenting sculpture, video work, and installations. The aim is to push the limitations the art world imposes while exploring how materiality and installation add to the way we perceive a story.
The exhibition runs September 18 through December 7.
A reception on Sept 20th (5:30 – 8:30 p.m.) will include music by DJ IKA, a zine release, and a performance piece.
