This four-day extravaganza goes deep on Vegas architecture, art, design, and culture. Some of the programs that make up this festival-of-sorts are walking tours, some are talks. You’ll hear from the people that made the Mirage volcano, may it rest in peace, as well as experts on casino carpeting. Yes, there are actually distinct strategies for picking those ornately designed carpets. I think there’s a movie premiere offered as well. The unifying thread seems to be that all the programs celebrate visual Las Vegas. And it finds unique takes and unexplored corners in that often lazily explored topic.
