The exhibition of paintings by CSN Art & Art History faculty member Lolita Develay and a former student, Ann Fuhring, explores how both artists pursue realist traditions in their artwork, as it subtly acknowledges the mentor-mentee relationship. Beyond the Extracurricular examines the notion that the goal of education in art is to move the level of the artists’ work beyond the classroom.

It runs through October 11. There will be a gallery talk and reception October 9, starting at 6 pm. Hours for the art gallery are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
