This presentation for all ages features a talk and artwork by Deborah Fox, author and illustrator of the award-winning graphic novel about pioneer hero William Lewis Manly, "The Man Who Beat Death Valley." Fox traces Manly's epic journey from Wisconsin through Southern Nevada and into Death Valley, and delves into the meaning of heroism.
One copy of the graphic novel will be given away and others will be for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Boulder City Library.
