On the bill: Brahms’s Clarinet Trio, Opus 114 offers rich late-Romantic lyricism and intimate dialogue between clarinet, cello, and piano. Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango (in a clarinet quartet arrangement) traces the evolution of tango from its raw street origins to its modern concert form. And, Eric Sammut’s Zapping Trio brings a contemporary, high-energy contrast, fusing classical technique with rhythmic drive and modern stylistic influences.

Clarinetist Vitalii Prusak is joined by piano professor Katie Leung, cellist Elton Chong, Izabel Holland on marimba, Kevin Vasquez on clarinet and bass clarinet, Victoria Williams on clarinet, and Robert Mitchell on the bass clarinet.
