Celebrate poet Robert Burns in Reno
The great Scottish poet was born on January 25, 1759 and Scots around the world celebrate with an elaborate dinner. This one will include a whisky tasting, haggis and other delicacies, presentation of the Scot of the Year, Highland dancers, and a performance by Sierra Highlanders Pipe Band.
The 42nd Annual Robert Burns Celebration hosted by the Nevada Society of Scottish Clans will include a heavy dose of Scottish traditions and culture (with a Nevada twist, naturally), including traditional Burns Night ceremonies, toasts to the lads and lasses, and the presentation of the haggis.
