Opera Las Vegas joins the College of Southern Nevada's award-winning Mariachi Plata for a festive presentation of traditional music and Zarzuela (Spanish operetta), recent lyric theatre compositions, and operatic tributes to beloved stars like Placido Domingo, Montserrat Caballe, and Jose Carreras.

The Fiesta will explore recent Mariachi "operas" like Cruzar la Cara de la Luna by the legendary José “Pepe” Martínez, and selections from Zorro by Hector Armienta, among others. Celebración Latina promises to be an enchanting program of delights and discoveries, a Hispanic musical panorama that will entertain, enrich, and inform.
