Around the Table: Stories of Nevada Foodways celebrates the diverse food traditions and stories of the people of the Silver State. It will be on display through August 26.

The exhibit features stories about the food traditions of Nevadans as told through handmade, descriptive, illustrated recipe cards and zines. A zine is a small, handmade, self-published booklet or magazine that provides a hands-on, do-it-yourself way to share stories, artwork, poetry, and ideas. On display are food-oriented zines and recipe cards created by everyday Nevadans from across the state that represent the diversity and meaning of Nevada’s family food traditions.

There will be a reception on July 14. Stop by and share a zine or recipe card of your own to help Nevada Humanities build an archive of Nevada foodways stories, memories, and community. It's free but they'd like you to RSVP.
