“Ancient Echoes: Baroque and Modern Resonance”
“Ancient Echoes: Baroque and Modern Resonance”
"Ancient Echoes: Baroque & Modern Resonance" brings Baroque elegance into vibrant conversation with contemporary sound worlds. Guided by Artistic Director Alexandria Le in collaboration with Jonathan Rhodes, Director of UNLV’s Early Music Ensemble, and Jennifer Bellor, Director of UNLV’s NEXTET, this intimate concert pairs the ornamentation and expressive clarity of early music with striking modern works by living composers.
Featuring both period and modern instruments—including harpsichord, viola da gamba, Baroque oboe and soprano alongside clarinet and vibraphone—the program reflects, refracts, and reinterprets early musical forms, offering a richly layered listening experience that traverses centuries.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
