Well, if the Beatles like it ...

It took me a while to get Cirque's "Love," which lacks the child-alien googoo pomp of a lot of Cirque productions. Then I realized it's best taken as a sort of lavish, live music video love-a-gram to the Beatles. The fifth anniversary of the show is coming up, and some Fab Fourites will be here to commemorate:

Former Beatle Paul McCartney, producer George Martin, John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono and other key figures in the Fab Four circle will converge in Las Vegas on June 8 for the fifth anniversary of Cirque du Soleil's fanciful circus spectacle Love, the music-driven celebration of The Beatles' legacy.

Apropos of that, check out this 1964 piece in the Las Vegas Sun on a Beatles performance at the Convention Center. "Frantic teenagers"!
