The handy-dandy Ensign denial-to-resignation timeline

From smug denial to a touchy air of "let's move past this" to okay-I-did-it-but-my-weasel-language-says-otherwise, a timeline of the Ensign resignation. (Ensi-gnation? Lame? Too soon?) Here's one of our fave nuggets, from the Washington Post:

August 2010 — Ensign sends letters to supporters insisting he is “absolutely” innocent of allegations that led to Senate Ethics Committee and the Justice Department probes; seeks contributions to his defense fund.
