Today, more than 300,000 students and 35,000 employees will heed the sound of the bell and head back to the school.
The 2015-16 school year will be the first since Governor Brian Sandoval passed his landmark tax plan that includes pouring $800 million into the Clark County School District. And it was a busy summer for some school administrators, who were preparing for the changes to come.
Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky said visible changes this year will include additional Victory, Zoom and magnet schools, extended opportunities for free and reduced lunch programs and new bullying legislation.
