Hispanic students are enrolling in college at a higher rate than in previous years. According to a new study from the PEW Hispanic Center Last year, nearly 70 percent of Hispanic high school grads enrolled in college.
That’s slightly more than the 67 percent white grads who enrolled in college last year. And the high school drop-out rate among Hispanic student is also down. The authors of the study say there may be a number of economic and cultural factors that have led to this change.
