Dave Berns
ProducerDave Berns, now a producer for State of Nevada, recently returned to KNPR after having previously worked for the station from 2005 to 2009.
He has worked for news organizations in Nevada, Oregon, California and Washington, D.C., serving as an editor, reporter and host. He taught multiple journalism courses at UNLV from 1996 through 2016. Dave was raised in New York City and graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in journalism.
When prepping for a program Dave can be found hiking in Red Rock Canyon or walking the campus of The College of Southern Nevada in search of a thoughtful question, historical context and someone who’s willing to have an impromptu conversation about life in Nevada.
