Nevada Public Radio is NPR in Las Vegas on air and online. Our flagship broadcast station KNPR is heard at 88.9 FM and via our network of repeaters and translator stations covering Southern Nevada and contiguous counties in Utah, California and Arizona. We air signature public radio news including Morning Edition, Marketplace and the BBC World Service. Weekends are home smart entertainment and engaging storytelling including Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, This American Life and The Ted Radio Hour. All of our broadcast content is delivered here at knpr.org as a stream, a story, a download or a podcast and the beginning of many great conversations.
Central to our mission is reporting on and reflecting the issues that matter to the community we share. KNPR’s State of Nevada is the hub of our local journalism that extends to hourly newscasts on air and continuous digital delivery of content wherever you are.
STATEMENT OF INDEPENDENCE
Nothing is more essential to Nevada Public Radio than the bonds of trust and credibility we have built with our community over more than four decades. As we produce fair, accurate, and accountable journalism each day, our primary allegiance is to the public we serve. Any financial or other interests that conflict with that allegiance can put our credibility at risk. Accordingly, what we cover and how we conduct our journalism is never influenced by any financial interest, NVPR’s bottom line, or the views of anyone who may fund us.
