How would you describe yourself to voters?

I am a pragmatic progressive who believes that people should always come first before profit and that politics in Nevada should return to being about statesmanship rather than only fighting for one set of beliefs.

What do you see as the top issues in this campaign?

Housing, Education and Healthcare are the top 3 most important issues of this campaign. These 3 issues are affecting all Nevadans and I believe it is time that our government acknowledges that all 3 are human rights.

In your opinion, how would you rate the state’s response to the pandemic? Why?

I would give the states response a B+. We did a fairly good job with what we knew at the time and the resources available to us. The only thing I felt needed improvement were response times to outbreaks as well as having back-up medical centers for all who need it.

Education and local government officials have long asked lawmakers to change the way the state assesses property taxes. That includes raising the current tax threshold. Should lawmakers consider raising those thresholds? If not, what is the best way for governments to raise money for local programs?

I believe they should consider raising them, but raising taxes as a whole cannot just be the answer for increased state revenue. Nevada has long prided itself on being a state with little taxes as a way to encourage more growth here. What we should be looking at are ways to impose luxury fees such as for golfing or car detailing.
