Health District To Consider Building Isolation Unit For COVID-19 Patients

The Southern Nevada Health District will hold an emergency meeting Tuesday to discuss creating an isolation building for COVID-19 patients.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the health district will allocate $3 million for the facility, which would house patients that have tested positive but aren't critically ill.

The annex would mainly serve homeless people or others who don't have a place to self-quarantine.

If approved, the facility would be built on health district land at Decatur Boulevard and Meadows Lane, near the entrance to U.S. 95.
