The Vegas Golden Knights signed left wing William Carrier to a four-year contract extension Thursday.
The 25-year-old would have been a restricted free agent after this season.
Carrier is tied for sixth in the NHL in hits with 199. He has a career-best 11 assists and 18 points and has appeared in a career-high 65 games.
