Reno City Manager Sabra Newby To Step Down From Position

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A city manager in Nevada has announced she is stepping down from her position effective in July.

 

Reno City Manager Sabra Newby sent a resignation letter Wednesday to the Reno City Council and city staff.

Newby said in the letter that her family has decided to move back to southern Nevada in the summer to be closer to family and friends. Her last day with the city is scheduled for July 3.

 

Newby was hired by City Council in an unanimous vote in 2017. She previously was the Clark County Assistant County Manager and has worked in government and around Las Vegas for more than 15 years.
