A three-day statewide emergency preparedness exercise in Nevada known as Silver Crucible 2019 began Tuesday.
KOLO-TV in Reno reports the full-scale, mass-casualty drill is designed to test the state’s capabilities to respond to and recover from a terrorist attack.
Tuesday’s focus was intelligence gathering, Wednesday’s is field operations and Thursday’s will wrap up in Washoe County with a recovery center in downtown Reno.
