Teamsters File Complaint Against Tesla

A new legal complaint has been filed against Tesla that says the company misled potential investors about its production capabilities.

The complaint was filed November 2 in California Superior Court by attorneys for the Teamsters, which said Tesla claimed it could produce 5,000 Model 3s per week, a number CEO Elon Musk and others have touted.

The complaint states the company later admitted it would be unable to make that many vehicles per week by 2017. A Tesla spokesperson said the suit is meritless, and that similar claims have already been dismissed in federal court.
