Ethics Commission Says Storey County Sheriff Breached Ethics Laws

The Nevada Commission on Ethics decided this week that Storey County Sheriff Gerald Antinoro willfully breached Nevada ethics law in 2017 by misusing government resources.

The incident stemmed from allowing his wife to use his office on a Saturday for a supervised parental visit.

Antinoro will have to pay a $2,500 fine for the breach, which he told the Reno Gazette-Journal was “absurd.” This is Antinoro’s third ethics violation since he took office in 2011.
