Casino Win Down Over Last August

August was a rocky month for Nevada's gaming establishments.

The Gaming Control Board reported Thursday licensees' gaming win was down more than 7 percent compared to August of last year.

That said, the gaming win was over $912 million, but gaming win was down year-over-year in all parts of Clark County except for in Mesquite.

Across the rest of the state, though, gaming win was up except for in unincorporated Elko County.

Gaming regulators report that the state took in nearly $47 million in percentage fees this month, but that's down just over 7 percent compared to this time last year.

Gaming win overall this fiscal year remains down about 4 percent.
