LAS VEGAS (AP) — Land management agencies have lifted fire restrictions in southern Nevada.
Officials made the announcement Tuesday.
It applies to federal lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service. The Mt. Charleston Fire Protection District also is included.

BLM fire management officer Geoff Wallin says the agencies are asking visitors to be safe with ignition sources because vegetation remains dry from hot summer temperatures.
The fire restrictions had been in place since early May, prohibiting campfires, charcoal stoves, fireworks and off-road vehicles without a spark arrestor.
