Nevada’s gaming wins totaled more than $1 billion for the first time in a year.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board published its monthly market reports Wednesday, which also showed the Las Vegas Strip had the steepest monthly decline in the state.
The board reported a $1.01 billion win statewide, a two percent decline from January last year.

Research analysts with the control board attributed the decline to the timing of the Chinese New Year – which this year took place in February rather than January.
The highest monthly win ever recorded came in October 2007, when the state recorded $1.165 billion.
