LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have arrested the gunman that police in Las Vegas say is responsible for fatally shooting two homeless men, wounding a third and shooting a fourth man north of the city earlier this year.
Police on Tuesday said 26-year-old Las Vegas resident Joshua Castellon was arrested Friday on a federal weapons charge.
Police Lt. Dan McGrath says forensic analysis connected the same revolver to all four shootings. Three happened Jan. 29 and one on Feb. 2.
A federal complaint shows Castellon's estranged wife told police she believed her husband had purchased a revolver in January.
Police say an arrest warrant for Castellon on murder and atte
mpted murder counts has been issued.
McGrath says Castellon will be transferred to the Clark County Detention Center after the resolution of the federal case.
Court records don't list an attorney for Castellon.
