RENO, Nev. (AP) — A day after Clark County confirmed its first flu-related death of the season in the Las Vegas-area, Washoe County health officials reported their first flu fatality in northern Nevada.

The victim was identified Thursday only as a middle-aged person under the age of 60 who contracted Influenza A — H1N1. Health officials say other factors contributed to the death.

The Southern Nevada Health District said the person who died in Clark County was over the age of 65 and had been hospitalized.
