U.S. Senator Harry Reid (D) - NV weighed in on the stadium plan now under review by the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Reid expressed support Tuesday for the domed stadium, but the senator deferred to local and state officials when asked about how the project would be funding.
The public-private project is backed by Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Majestic Realty and the Raiders and has an estimated price tag of between $1.7 billion and $2.1 billion.
