Officials with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, are suggesting professors move their classes off campus when the school hosts the final Presidential debate in October.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that university spokesman Tony Allen says the school is considering alternative plans for campus operations surrounding the Oct. 19 debate, which is expected to bring disruptions and full parking lots.
In an email last week, Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies Interim Director Joel Lieberman told faculty and staff that the university has advised classes not be held on campus during the event.
College of Sciences Dean Javier A. Rodríguez says the debate can be used as a great out-of-classroom experience, but that students taking classes that require them to be on campus will not be affected.
