FLDS Members Re-Arrested Due To GPS Monitors

Prosecutors say three suspects in a polygamous sect's food stamp fraud scheme were re-arrested because they violated terms of their supervised release by being in the same location on multiple days.

The Spectrum newspaper in St. George reports that Seth Jeffs, John Wayman and Preston Barlow denied the allegations through their attorneys during a court appearance Tuesday in St. George, Utah.

Prosecutors say they found out about the meetings because the men were wearing GPS monitors.

Their arrests come six weeks after another person accused in the scheme, sect leader Lyle Jeffs, escaped home confinement in Salt Lake City. Lyle Jeffs is still on the loose.

Prosecutors strongly opposed the release of all three men, telling judges they were flight risks.
