RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Democratic Party of Washoe County says they have filed a police report after finding the sign in front of their headquarters vandalized with the message "Vote 4 Trump" sprayed in red paint.
Volunteers with the party had discovered the vandalized sign outside the Reno building Sunday.
The party's executive director, Pam duPre, called the incident a "divisive, childish" attack that has "no place in our politics." She says the sign was to be cleaned Monday.
The Democratic Party of Washoe County is encouraging those with information about a possible suspect or suspects involved with the incident to contact the Reno Police Department.
Police spokesman Officer Tim Broadway says the department has not yet received any tips in the case.
