NV Early Voting Attracts 11 Percent Of Active Voters

Officials say 11 percent of Nevada's 1.3 million active registered voters cast a ballot during Nevada's two-week early voting period.

Statistics released by the Nevada Secretary of State's Office show more than 121,000 people statewide have showed up in-person to vote early in the primary, while nearly 22,000 mail-in ballots have been received.

Of the more than 143,000 ballots cast, 46 percent came from Republicans and 44 percent came from Democrats.

The early voting period ran from May 28 through June 10. Election Day is June 14.

Voters are weighing in on congressional races including two highly competitive primaries. They're also narrowing the field of legislative candidates and weighing in on nonpartisan races for judges and higher education regents.
