Resorts World International – the multibillion dollar project being built on the former Echelon site on the Las Vegas Strip – is set to open in 2019.
Vegas Inc. reports the company said it would intensify construction on the project by the last quarter of this year, with a hope of opening by 2019.
More activity is expected at the resort this summer in preparation for that construction this year.

Resorts World officials made the remarks today before the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The company was before Nevada gaming regulators to discuss the project and to talk about the hiring of executives.
Originally, the Chinese-themed resort was to open in 2018.
